Pistachios contain several essential nutrients and can aid weight loss and heart and gut health. The pistachio tree grows thrives in the Greek land. It grows best in a cold, brief winter climate, with little rain and a long hot summer. Tilling of the land is usually carried out twice a year, at the end of October and up to the beginning of April, depending when the rainfall occurs each year. Τhe size of each year’s harvest starts to become evident at the end of April when the fruit begins to form on the branches. The fruit goes through the process of drying, either naturally, for four days in the sun, or artificially, in special dryers.
